PRO-MIX HP open top grow bag is the new delivery system solution for plant producers. With eight pre-made drip holes, a tear-off opening, and its availability in two sizes (1 ft3 and 0.5 ft3 loose-fill growing medium, equivalent to 7 and 3.5 gallons respectively), the open top grow bag solution ensures ease of use.
Its multiple openings improve aeration in the root zone for equal air distribution, increasing the breathability of the container and promoting root development. It includes mycorrhizae which enhance root growth, water and nutrient uptake, increase plant resistance to environmental stresses such as drought, compaction, salinity, low fertility, and reduce transplant shock.
INGREDIENTS:
CANADIAN SPHAGNUM PEAT MOSS (65-75 %)
Sphagnum peat moss is a natural, organic partially decomposed plant material comprised mostly of Sphagnum moss. This primary resource is carefully harvested from peat bogs with specialized vacuum harvesters. Sphagnum peat moss is available in various levels of fibrosity and decomposition. Careful grading ensures that the properties of each grade are optimized for a final product that satisfies stringent quality specifications.
PERLITE — HORTICULTURAL GRADE
Perlite is an alumino-silicate ore of volcanic origin. The raw ore is crushed, graded, heat expanded and screened in various particle sizes. Perlite is a light-weight aggregate that has a high total porosity and improves both drainage and air porosity.
DOLOMITIC AND CALCITIC LIMESTONE (PH ADJUSTER)
Limestone is used to adjust a growing medium’s pH to an optimum range. It is also a source of calcium and magnesium.
WETTING AGENT
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
BACILLUS – PTB180 Technology, Bacillus pumilus
Bacillus stimulates the plant root system by inducing the proliferation of the root hairs, which favors the absorption of the nutrients. We have selected it for its beneficial action of growth stimulation.
• Increase the number of root hairs for a better nutrient absorption
• Accelerates seed germination
• Increases plant growth
MYCORRHIZAE™ – PTB297 Technology, Glomus intraradices
Mycorrhizae are beneficial associations between a mycorrhizal fungus and roots.
Mycorrhizal spores germinate in the growing medium and produce filaments (hyphae) which will enter into root cells. This association will allow the formation of an intra and extra-radical network of filaments that will explore the soil and access more nutrients and water, and transfer them to the plant.
• Expand root system growth
• Enhance nutrient & water uptake
• Increase tolerance to stresses
• Reduce transplant shock
